Reminder: in this series, Session 1 is open to all participants, Session 2A is specific for non-Black identifying allies, and Session 2B is for Black-identifying participants only. Please register accordingly.
This workshop is designed specifically for Black employees working in the early childhood care sector, providing a safe and supportive space for open dialogue and reflection.
Together, we will explore the nuanced experiences of being Black in a predominantly White culture, navigating the unique dynamics of being Black in Toronto, and navigating the complexities of the early childcare sector.
We will also delve into the concept of internalized racism, discussing its impact and exploring strategies for combating it. Through meaningful discussions and sharing of experiences, participants will gain insights, support, and tools to navigate their professional and personal journeys more effectively.
Note: This workshop aims to cultivate a sense of community and solidarity among Black professionals in the early childhood care sector, providing a space for mutual support, validation, and empowerment through shared experiences and collective learning.
