Join us for an engaging in-person Community of Practice session centered on sociocultural identities. This session will focus on the updated AQI language and its relevance to our early learning practices. Participants will engage in open dialogue about how sociocultural identities, including Indigenous peoples and cultures, different ethnicities, races, languages, sexual orientations, and diverse gender identities, can be represented in our work with children and families. We encourage participants to come prepared for discussions by bringing examples, questions, and/or ideas to share, creating an engaging and collaborative atmosphere. Connect with fellow educators, share insights, and collaboratively explore ways to implement meaningful and intentional practices in our early learning environments.
Subway: Accessible via Subway Line 1 (Yonge-University) – North York Centre Station. Upon exiting the station, you can walk south along Yonge Street for a short distance to reach the library. Parking:Paid parking is available on-site, with metered parking spots and additional paid parking lots in the vicinity. Be sure to check for any parking regulations or fees.
To create an inclusive in-person environment where educators can engage in discussions about sociocultural identities, share best practices, and strengthen their commitment to fostering meaningful, intentional connections in early learning programs.
