<div style="font-family: 'Segoe UI'; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;"><p><strong>Mary-Kate Asante-Antwi</strong> is a Professor in the School of Nursing at Humber Polytechnic, where she facilitates learning and fosters the development of the next generation of excellent nurses. Her teaching practice is grounded in mentorship, critical inquiry, and creating supportive learning environments that prepare students for the evolving realities of professional nursing.</p><p>Prior to joining academia, Mary-Kate served as a Registered Nurse Consultant (RNC) with Humber’s Child Care Consultation Team. In this role, she provided expert consultation, training, and resources to Resource Consultants within the Every Child Belongs model. She was instrumental in enhancing the knowledge and capacity of Educators to support children with medical needs in child care centres and registered home child care settings.</p><p>Mary-Kate holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Education from Walden University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Brunswick, and an Advanced Diploma in Practical Nursing from Humber College.</p><p>Her role as an RNC also included delivering community-based training to professionals on caring for children with complex medical diagnoses and medical needs. Her broad nursing background includes experience in both hospital and community settings. She has also collaborated with school boards to develop plans of care for medically fragile children in elementary schools.</p><p>Mary-Kate’s extensive work with vulnerable populations and individuals with diverse medical conditions reflects her commitment to equity, compassion, and holistic care. Her passion for supporting children and families is evident throughout her pediatric and public health nursing experience.</p></div>
