Job Title: Resource Educator
Currently Emeline works with the Toronto Children's Services, Special Service Unit as Resource Educator. Her professional experience includes supporting childcare programs and building staff capacity, supporting children and adults at the Learning Disabilities Association as an Assistive Technology Facilitator and Computer Skills Facilitator. She has worked as a Resource Consultant in other communities in Ontario and in the private school system.
Keeping up with the research and information related to the Early Childhood field is an important part of her role and her passion. This includes child development, self regulation, social and emotional competence, understanding the role of the brain in development, the role of attachment and capacity building of caregivers. She advocates for all Early Childhood professionals to partipcate in continuous learning and developing the professional leadership in this field, as it is significant to ensure future generations meet the needs of children with care, opportunity and compassion.
