Description

Speaking to children about bodies and answering their questions about sexuality can be difficult sometimes.  This free, one-day interactive workshop, facilitated by Toronto Public Health Sexual Health Promoters, is designed for child care and community agency staff to learn more about how speaking to children about these topics can increase their safety, and will also give opportunities for practice having these discussions. 

Session Objective

  • The objective of this workshop is to increase knowledge and comfort level on the topic of sexual behaviours and questions of children.  
  • Topics will include:
    • Children's sexual growth and development
    • Exploring your own values becoming more comfortable dealing with children's sexual behaviours
    • Becoming more comfortable responding to parents' concerns and questions
    • Practice answering questions discussion of sexual health policy
