Young children are actively developing the ability to control their emotions and behavior while in our care. This development is a long process and requires the support of caring and responsive educators who can offer appropriate modeling and co-regulation.  This session will focus on a shift in language to support turn- taking and help encourage children to problem solve.

Session Objective

  • To increase participants knowledge of typical social skills & milestones in young children.
  • Through discussion we will explore various techniques to change our language and approach during social interactions.

Location: Online

Standards of practice
