This 6-month mentorship program is designed to support new Early Childhood Educator graduates as they transition into the early learning sector. Starting in October, this virtual program features monthly workshops, and 1-on-1 mentoring with experienced ECE professionals. Workshops will be virtual and take place on one weekday evening each month. Mentors are expected to commit a minimum of 2 hours per month, while mentees are expected to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per month.

 

Eligibility Criteria For Mentees:

-         Must be a new ECE graduate (completed studies within the past 15 months)

-         Must be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators or have submitted an application and be awaiting approval.

-         Must me living or working in Toronto

 

Eligibility Criteria For Mentors:

-         Must be an Early Childhood Educator with at least 5 years of experience.

-         Must have a strong background in early childhood education.

-         Must be living or working in Toronto

Session Objective

Mentorship opportunity for recent ECE graduates who are interested in professional learning and career development.

Workshop and mentoring topics may include communication, mental health, inclusive curriculum, family engagement, leadership skills, and career planning .
