Description

About Evergreen Brick Works:

Since 1991, Evergreen has supported schools and childcare centres across Canada in transforming their grounds into nature-rich play and learning environments for both children and their communities. In 2007, Evergreen began offering professional development services to compliment this work and has since delivered workshops to more than 2000 educators and childcare staff across Ontario. The goal of these workshops is to build capacity and confidence to create rich outdoor play and learning experiences for children and youth in any space or season.

Session Overview:

Unleash creativity and discover new possibilities for play and learning with our workshop on understanding and activating any outdoor space. Participants will discover the transformative power of Loose Parts, learn cost-effective design strategies to make the most of your existing outdoor spaces, and gain practical insights into creating dynamic and engaging outdoor learning environments that welcome in nature (even in the heart of the city)

Session Objective

Each month, Toronto Children's Services will host a webinar featuring subject matter experts who will speak on various topics, including outdoor learning, ableism, disabilities and accessibility, as well as reconciliation and Indigenous cultural awareness.
