Description

In this fast paced busy world, demands placed on children have changed over the past decade. With technology and quick access to meeting our needs and wants, attention and focus for us all looks quite different. The term ‘ADD/ADHD’ is one that is used a lot when looking at the attention, impulsivity or hyperactivity of a child. Many adults have grown up experiencing these challenges without a diagnosis and have developed strategies to help them cope with everyday demands.

Far too often we are quick to jump to conclusions in labelling a child before understanding the contributing factors behind a child’s behaviour. It is not always ADD/ADHD. In this workshop we will learn about issues that are overlooked that could be causing a child to have attention problems. We will discuss strategies to help you create an inclusive and supportive environment.
