Description

DR. ALAN BARDIKOFF, Ed.D., C.Psych.

Brought to you by Toronto Children's Services, Every Child Belongs and Strides Toronto

Life in pandemic times has led to higher degrees of stress and anxiety in our lives. As early learning and child care professionals and parents, we may struggle with worries about ourselves, our children and others.

In this session Dr. Bardikoff will lead participants through a guided discussion on:

  • Recognizing signs of anxiety in ourselves and children
  • What is reasonable anxiety and what needs attention
  • Understanding how to move through feeling to thinking and action
  • Recognizing when professional help is needed and how to find it

About Dr. Bardikoff:

Alan Bardikoff is a psychologist working with children, adolescents, adults and their families. His interest in trauma and anxiety and its after effects has numerous links to the treatment of special populations like survivors of violence, childhood sexual abuse, and the Holocaust.  A consultant to several child and youth agencies in Toronto, his special interest in young people and the challenges facing them today is both a professional and community based interest for him.
